Missions Team Knits for Projet Linus 2021

The Missions Team recently delivered 50 handmade knit baby blankets to Projet Linus. Many thanks to our dedicated knitters and to Guylaine for her many years working with Projet Linus St-Eustache. Their mission, which our knitting supports, is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are

seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need through the gifts of new handmade blankets and afghans lovingly created by volunteer"blanketeers".

Recently, we received a lovely "thank you" forwarded to us from Guylaine, the head of the Quebec chapter. It included a lovely photo of a five-year old girl with one of Mary's blankets wrapped around her. And this was the note that came with it, translated from French: "Hello, I would like to take a few minutes to thank Lucy and Mary for a beautiful blanket that was given to my daughter at the Ronald McDonald Manor in Quebec. My daughter accompanies us to the Manor while her little sister, born prematurely, is being discharged from the hospital. It was a special touch given to her and she slept with it for her first night there. Many thanks."

We also recently donated 24 of Mary's hand knitted baby blankets to the Batshaw Youth Services here in the West Island. Although we don't need to be thanked for the the little bit of good we can do, it was well received by the Missions Team.
