Concert Series: Music at Saint John the Baptist
Starting November 10, 2019, a new Concert Series entitled Music at Saint John the Baptist will be presented at our Church on the second Sunday of each month throughout the snowy season. Organists Matthieu Latreille and Francine Nguyen-Savaria are excited to join Olivier Lavoie-Gagné, our organist and choir director, for these performances. Memory Muff Project
The Missions Team of the Church of Saint John the Baptist was featured in the Suburban newspaper recently for their incredible work on the Memory Muff Project. They also appeared in a segment on Global News, which featured interviews with the group members. The ladies volunteered their time and skill to knit and sew "memory muffs" for Alzheimers patients using donated materials. The muffs provide patients with something they can hold and "twiddle", which helps to reduce anxiety and promote calmness. The Missions Team distributes them to local seniors residences in the West Island. Please click here to access the video.
