Our Minister - Lorne Eason

Reverend Lorne Eason (Retired)

Lorne Eason was our minister for many years before his retirement in 2022. He is a priest of the Diocese of Montreal of the Anglican Church of Canada and was the 10th incumbent of the Church of Saint John the Baptist, Pointe Claire, since its founding in 1923. Lorne is a graduate of both Concordia and McGill universities and of Montreal Theological Diocesan College. After spending 30 years in the railway supply industry Lorne was ordained priest in the Diocese of Montreal in 2014. Shortly thereafter he spent a little less than 2 years as assistant curate in a neighboring West Island Anglican church before being inducted as incumbent of the Church of Saint John the Baptist in October of 2015. Besides his work as incumbent, Lorne was also the Pastor to the Diocese of Montreal Lay Readers and Chaplin to the Pointe Claire branch, Branch 057, of the Royal Canadian Legion. Lorne and his wife, the Ven. Michelle Eason have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren.
