Job Opportunity: Church Administrative Assistant

The Anglican Church of St. John the Baptist, Pointe Claire, is looking for a part time administrative assistant. 


Skills needed: Good with computers, communications, time management, practice confidentiality and bilingual.


Duties:

  1. To prepare Sunday bulletins and other special bulletins, as required.

  2. To greet visitors, to answer the telephone, send and receive e-mails, to receive and distribute incoming mail and to prepare outgoing correspondence from the Incumbent and others involved in church business.

  3. To purchase office supplies and oversee maintenance of office equipment, ensure the general efficient operation of the church office and general facilities and to allocate appropriate keys to church volunteers.

  4. To coordinate the rentals: keep up to date the occupancy calendar, control allocation of keys to renters, replace lost or broken keys, prepare rental agreements, coordinate signing of contracts, show facilities to perspective renters, handle complaints, and set the heating/cooling and liaise with groups.

  5. Coordinate with the website and social media volunteers.
